Looking back upon her 20-plus years working as a designer for a variety of American labels, Dianne was fairly horrified by the sheer volume of product she’d helped create (much of it stored in her own closet -- well, not so much a closet as an entire room). With so much time spent studying, dissecting and determining what consumers would next want in their wardrobes, Dianne realized she’d had little time to think about what she wanted next, well, in her own life.
The answer, she realized, was…less.
The world doesn’t need more new stuff. It needs help transforming stuff that already exists into something beautiful, something essential.
These concise, minimalist styles are made in small batches ensuring the brand’s belief in both a controlled aesthetic and quality. These are what she considers to be her essential pieces.
The silhouettes are versatile and can be styled in multiple ways. They all have an easy casual New York vibe. Each style has been carefully crafted and constructed to perfection. The materials have been thoughtfully selected to create the least harm to the planet as possible. The carbon footprint in the manufacturing process is kept to a minimum. All of the leathers used are chrome free and are perfected by hand finishes and considered design details. All textiles are made from recycled fibers. elliara has partnered with Eco-Simple to create the chambray blue textile linings which are made from recycled plastic bottles.
